This was some of the yummiest shrimp & grits. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the restaurant. It was at a cute, little restaurant in Alexandria Kari went to the night before and we went back.

It took me quite a while to find all of the letters in the box of Scrabble Cheez-Its to spell this great word. Do you know what recent movie coined this word? Since Monday was a holiday, I did not encounter any shenaniganizers.

Today's the last day of the winter DC Restaurant Week. On a rainy Sunday afternoon, Kristin and I show up with our polka dot umbrellas, in our skirts and brown boots, and brown coats to Sushiko! We both could eat sushi all the time and be just fine! Add a bottle of wine and we both were happy as could be! Thanks Kristin!

The NBC4 Health & Fitness Center is this weekend at the Convention Center. These are a few pictures from the morning. This week has been Restaurant Week in DC. I've been lucky enough to have several opportunities to go to wonderful restaurants with fabulous friends & family. Today I had lunch at Art & Soul on Capitol Hill with 2 friends. Lunch is great to do during Restaurant Week....it's cheaper! I won't be eating out for a while now.

While on my way home, this kiddo was having fun in the park riding his new bike he got for Christmas. Well, I don't actually know it was a Christmas gift, but it was a new, shiny, red bike. Therefore, I made up the story that it was a gift from Santa. Maybe it was under the Hanukkah bush, though!
